The owner of this restaurant opened a sister restaurant in Tokyo 10 years ago. At that time, I was surprised at their American-style pancakes since there were layers of pancakes and a lot of blueberries even between the pancakes. I am happy to try their original pancakes in NY. The warm maple butter was flavorful and I was able to enjoy every bite with it.

I finally had the opportunity to check out Clinton Street bakery today for the first time and I'm so happy that I did! I brought my fiancé with me and we both really enjoyed our meals and the service. We walked in and we were seated within 15 minutes or so, and our orders were taken promptly. The blueberry pancakes were so delicious and I really enjoyed the crispy edges, we also had the French toast And breakfast combo that included fried green tomatoes, this really made me think of my southern breakfast moments growing up. I discovered this place after constantly seeing Instagram reviews of the best pancakes I'm NYC and the experience definitely lived up to the hype. Good food, great service and clean and welcoming environment, we will be back soon. Great price to portion ratio as well.

Went to brunch here today. Shockingly at 11am on Wednesday they quoted us a 30 minute wait--ended up only being 9 minutes. We were seated and food arrived quickly. We got the blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and cold brew. You can definitely skip the coffee, but that's not what we came for. The eggs were very good and fluffy, however, I preferred salts cures side of scrambled eggs. Last but certainly not least, the pancakes were amazing. So light and fluffy but very filling. And the maple butter syrup makes it. Best thing on the plate. Service was also quick and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Listeeeeeeen!! I've been a regular at the Clinton Bakery for a while, and they have always impressed me. The service is fast, and the food is fantastic. Today, I tried the soft-shell Benedict, and it was amazing! While I usually go for the pancakes and chicken and waffles, this dish exceeded all my expectations. Every bite was a delight--crispy soft-shell crab, creamy poached egg, hollandaise, biscuit, and fried green tomato. It was so delicious that I wish they had a bed in the back so I could take a 10-minute nap!

This has become one of my favorite brunch spots in NYC! I love that they have a variety of both savory and sweet options for brunch depending on what you're feeling. My friend and I ordered the blueberry pancakes and the smoked salmon scramble to share since we both want to try the pancakes and one of their savory brunch platters. The blueberry pancakes were so delicious and well made. And the salmon scramble platter had a nice variety of items of toast, salad, and the salmon egg scramble. Since we both like fruits, we also got a side of fresh fruits to share which goes perfectly with our dishes. The place seems to always be packed though. We went for brunch at noon on a Friday and the entire restaurant is full. We also had to wait a little bit even though we had a reservation. However, the staff is attentive in taking your order and bringing out the food promptly. Looking forward to coming back again and try the other items on the menu!

Definitely on the list of spots for brunch on our visit based on IG lists. We liked the ambiance of the spot & our server was great. The food was very good, though the pancakes were a little on dry side. That said, we really liked the experience!

Definitely worth the hype! 4.5 stars The best pancakes I've had in NYC. The blueberry Maine was excellent and perfectly made without too many blueberries. The chocolate chips pancakes weren't too sweet and the pancakes themselves were so fluffy and delicious! I took them home and they tasted just as good. I loved the maple butter but wish the maple syrup and butter were separated. The hash browns were standard and nothing special. The service was quick and friendly. It's a small cute brunch cafe and would definitely come back!

I totally understood the charms of Clinton Street's pancakes -- moist, fluffy, and with crispy edges. If you want a taste of the iconic American style pancakes, GO TO CLINTON ST Y'ALL. 1.5 hour wait on a weekday was INSANE. The crowds surrounding us were mostly tourists. Their food and service were still fabulous no matter how busy the spot was. * Japanese Pumpkin Pancakes The pumpkin caramel drizzle seeped into the stack of three pancakes, and we dipped our pancakes into their signature warm maple butter for a more complex flavor profile. The roasted Kabocha squash and toasted pumpkin seeds added a nice touch of crunchiness. They even mixed kabocha bits into the batter, making the whole dessert an absolute indulgence for pumpkin lovers. The portion was also super filling. Sadly this flavor was only available from 22 to 23 Feb, but they still have other special flavors rolling out till the end of Feb. *Latke Egg Benedict I am a savory brunch person so this latke egg benny was my bias. Unlike traditional egg benedict, they replace the english muffin with latke (crispy potato cakes) and elevate it with trout roe caviar. The smoke salmon wasn't too salty. From now on, a regular egg benedict can no longer satisfy my greed.
